Bulldogs Dog Temperament

Despite their fat  "sourpuss", Bulldogs are generally docile and manageable. However, it can move very fast over short distances. Bulldogs do not need much exercise, so they are fit to live in apartments and other urban settings. They are friendly and sociable, but sometimes stubborn. The phrase "stubborn as a bulldog" can be derived from observation of a Bulldog excited. It ranks 78 out of 80 in Stanley Coren's The Intelligence of Dogs, with the lowest degree of intelligence work / obedience.
According to the American Kennel Club (AKC) a provision bulldog "should be equitable and kind, firm and courageous (not vicious or aggressive), and behavior must be peaceful and dignified. These attributes must be tolerated by the expression and behavior . "

Breeders have worked to reduce / eliminate the aggressiveness of these dogs, and as such, the Bulldog is known to be of good temperament. Some, especially men, can not live with other dogs or strangers, but most have a friendly nature of the patient. Overall, the Bulldogs are known for good with children, dogs and other pets. They can be so attached to the house and the family did not venture out of the yard without a human companion and are more likely to sleep in someone's lap after a ball in the yard.
